Antisana: Man of wind and snow.

As my skiing evolves I find myself venturing further into the mountains. Unlike the resort where bad design may only result in discomfort, in the mountains your gear can kill you. I could not find a jacket that met my needs so I made my own.

Goal: Create a relaxed fit Jacket that maintains fit and articulation necessary for mountain navigation and free ride skiing. Simple, durable, repairable, timeless. Outerwear brands have found a formula, using the same factories, patterns, colors, and materials. Execute all of this in 2 weeks, just in time for a ski trip.

Design Objectives:

-Helmet compatible storm hood with completely unobstructed peripheral vision.

-Jacket should extremely durable, high abrasion resistance to handle climbing and contact with rock/tree branches.

-Jacket should have a unique backpack compatible venting and pocket system.

-User should not struggle or require the help of a friend to open vents while moving through the mountains.

-Jacket should accomplish the same mobility as a “ski mountaineering pant” and maintain relaxed fit necessary for free ride skiing.

-Jacket venting system should allow quick access to internal bib pockets of pant.
